Steam Client Beta – September 2nd

The Steam Client Beta has been updated with the following changes:

General

  • Fixed Steam Deck compatibility and controller compatibility dropdowns in collection filter edit pane not updating if their corresponding filter was removed from the top bar.

In-Game Overlay

  • Fixed mouse input being offset when using the overlay in some games that render with a back buffer sized differently than the window. This impacted a small number of games in specific “fullscreen windowed” rendering modes where you can choose a non-native display resolution rather than common fullscreen, windowed, or borderless windowed modes.

Big Picture Mode

  • Fixed an issue where selection would be lost when navigating back out of app details and other screens.

  • Added the percentage of the transfer remaining to the Steam Cloud upload/download text in the library.

Steam Input

  • Speculative fix for rare crash when using gyro modes.

  • Re-enabled rumble for the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller. Users should update the dongle to the latest firmware.

Arrest made after shots fired towards Police, Palmerston North

With Police already managing gang-related tensions in Levin under powers granted by a Gang Conflict Warrant, Palmerston North Police are now considering applying for similar controls in their area.
