Wanted to arrest: Wayne Clark

Auckland City Police are seeking information on the whereabouts of Wayne Tukaha Clark who is wanted to arrest.

Clark, 42, is wanted for breaching his court release conditions.

Police advise the public not to approach him and call 111 if he is sighted.

Clark is known to frequent the wider Auckland City and North Shore areas.

If you have information on Clark’s whereabouts, you can also contact Police on 105 using the reference number 251028/7523.

Information can also be provided anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.

Homicide investigation launched in Mt Wellington

Auckland City

A homicide investigation is underway in Mt Wellington, after a man arrived at a medical centre with injuries this afternoon.

At around 12.15pm, a man arrived at a medical centre on Lunn Avenue with critical injuries.

Detective Inspector Scott Beard, of Auckland City CIB, says Police were contacted and units responded to the area, including the Police Eagle helicopter.

“After arriving at the medical centre, the man was transported to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition,” he says.

“Despite best efforts, the man has died in hospital this afternoon.”

Steam Client Beta – December 4th

The Steam Client Beta has been updated with the following changes:

  • Fix a case where configurations edits/changes to selected configurations would fail to save

  • Fix some cases where configuration files could show as blank when opening them

  • Fix PlayStation controller LED colors sometimes failing to update in the personalization menu

  • Fixed Gyro to Joystick Deflection: Lock Extents not working as intended.

  • Fixed Gyro to Joystick Deflection: Some combinations of “Relative Roll” and “Relative Pitch” toggles resulted in zero joystick output.

  • Gyro to Joystick Deflection: “Relative Roll” and “Relative Pitch” toggles are only available if a Gyro Activation Button is selected, because the angles are relative to the pose of the controller each time the Gyro is activated.

Further appeal for information following fatal crash, Tāneatua

Attributable to Acting Inspector Paul Wilson, Eastern Bay of Plenty Area Commander:

Police investigating a fatal crash in Tāneatua are seeking further information from members of the public who witnessed the crash, or any movements leading up to the crash, to assist with our enquiries.

Prior to the crash, Police can confirm the red Honda Accord was observed travelling on Reid Road in excess of the speed limit.

Secure your homes over summer

Christchurch Police are reminding people to keep their homes secure during the summer months.

The reminder comes after an incident on Friday 28 November, where a 35-year-old man is alleged to have committed a burglary by entering a residential address at night while the occupiers were asleep.

The man is due to appear in Christchurch District Court on 12 March next year.

Although this incident took place at night, Inspector Glenda Barnaby, Christchurch Area Prevention manager says daytime burglaries are just as common.

Arrest made in relation to serious incidents, Christchurch

Attributable to Christchurch District Commander Superintendent Tony Hill:

A young person has been arrested in relation to a number of recent incidents across Christchurch, including an aggravated robbery earlier this week where a store worker was seriously injured.

The 17-year-old was located this afternoon in New Brighton and will be put before the Youth Court on a number of charges, including burglary, aggravated robbery, and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Southland Police remind revellers to stay safe this festive season

As the festive season approaches, Police in the Southland Area are gearing up for an operation to make sure punters don’t end up on Santa’s naughty list as they partake in revelry and merriment.

Area Manager for Prevention (Community) Senior Sergeant Brent Kingsland says the initiative, which begins this week and runs through to New Year, is about keeping people safe while supporting responsible celebration.

Serial tagger caught by Police

Police have arrested a North Canterbury resident for over 500 tags in various locations throughout Kaikoura, Canterbury and Dunedin.

The 23-year-old man will be appearing in the Christchurch District Court on 5 December on charges of entering agricultural land with intent and wilful damage for graffiti.

Senior Sergeant Stephen McDaniel says that Police are happy to have the brazen tagger off the streets.

‘Tis the season to not get scammed

As Christmas gift shopping moves increasingly online, scammers are ramping up their activity across the country.

Dunedin’s Investigation Support Unit is seeing more and more people fall victim to scams and other fraudulent activity, particularly on Facebook Marketplace.

Southern District Service Delivery Manager Senior Sergeant Blair Dalton says there are a few ways to avoid the scams and keep yourself safe on Facebook Marketplace this holiday season.
