Reminder: Prep and check before heading outdoors

Location:

Southern

Police are reminding anyone heading into the great outdoors this spring to be prepared, after a group of young adults was rescued in Middlemarch last night.

The group of five set out on a tramp to a hut late yesterday afternoon, despite extremely poor weather in the area.

They soon got into difficulty due to the conditions and became lost. Fortunately, they were able to get cellphone reception about 7.30pm to call for help.

Police Search and Rescue and local farmers were able to reach the group and walk them out.

Steam Client Beta – September 11th

The Steam Client Beta has been updated with the following changes:

General

  • Fixed a case the client window could keep growing in size for WindowsBlinds theme users

In-Game Overlay

  • Fixed a crash in D3D12 games that could sometimes be triggered by opening and closing sections of the overlay (like notes) rapidly. This could manifest as a game or gpu hang, was easier to trigger in some games than others, and was a new regression in this week’s public client update and the last beta cycle. We will test this briefly in beta before shipping as a hotfix to all users.
