Attribute to Detective Sergeant Darren Pritchard:
Police acknowledge the sentence handed down to Kereama Rewita today in Napier High Court.
The 30-year-old was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a non-parole period of 10 years, after pleading guilty to the murder of Tulasunu’i Pati last year.
Tulasunu’i Pati, known as Keith, sadly died after being stabbed outside his property in Hastings on Sunday 16 February 2025.

On Friday 17 July, Police were notified of a group of youths entering a store on Te Rapa Road at around 3.10pm.
Inspector Hywel Jones says the alleged offenders targeted a number of items, including a mobile phone and a knife, before leaving the area.
“Although the youths had left before Police arrived, they did not get far.

Known Issues – Beta

This issue is fixed in the latest SteamOS stable release (3.8.16). Affected users may wish to switch to the stable update channel while we work on bringing this fix to the beta channel.
