Police are asking for the public’s help finding Triston, who has been reported missing from the Māngere East area.

The 17-year-old was last seen at about 1.30pm this afternoon near Hokianga Street.

He is described as about 183cms tall with short dark brown hair and wears glasses.

He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie with a yellow Pokémon picture on the front, black sweatpants, and red and black Puma shoes. 

Triston may be unable to respond to questions or make eye contact. 

Three people have been charged after a firearm was discharged during a road rage incident in Manukau last week.

At about 5pm on 26 August Police received a report of a crash involving two vehicles on Ronwood Avenue.

Detective Inspector Shaun Vickers, Counties Manukau CIB, says the confrontation on Ronwood Avenue has occurred after an initial altercation in a nearby carpark moments earlier. 

He says two men allegedly exited one of the vehicles and discharged a firearm into the driver’s side of the windscreen.

Police have recovered tonnes of cannabis being grown in large scale indoor commercial cannabis grow facilities linked to Vietnamese nationals.

Police investigating a double homicide in Wattle Downs on Thursday 27 August are continuing to appeal for any information.

Emergency services were called to a Gambare Place address at about 1.45pm following a report of person armed with a handgun at the property and a woman injured.

Upon Police arrival two people were located deceased.

Detective Inspector Tofilau Faamanuia Va’aelua, Counties Manukau CIB, says postmortems and the scene examination have been completed.

“The investigation team is continuing to assess every line of enquiry available to us.

An unauthorised game of hide and seek led Police to the bedroom of an alleged fleeing driver in Clover Park last night.

Just gone 10.20pm, a patrol unit in Counties Manukau signalled for a Toyota Hilux to stop on Kerrs Road, Manurewa.

Inspector Mark Chivers, Counties Manukau Central Area Prevention Manager, says the driver initially followed instructions and pulled over.

“As an officer exited the patrol car to speak with the occupant, the driver allegedly accelerated away at speed.

Police can confirm one person has died following a crash between a car and motorcycle on Eros Road in Flatbush this afternoon.

The crash was reported to Police at around 1.35pm.  

Eros road is closed and motorists are advised to expect delays.

The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance, and enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

Police can confirm one person has died following a crash earlier this morning in Waitaki. 

About 8.10am, Police were called to a single vehicle crash near Happy Valley Creek Bridge. 

Sadly, one person was located deceased at the scene. 

SH85, Dunback-Morrisons Road remains closed while the Serious Crash Unit conducts a scene examination.

Motorists are advised to take an alternate route and expect delays.

Hutt Valley Police are seeking the public’s assistance following a disorder incident in Lower Hutt. 

Police responded to a report of disorder on Waterloo Road shortly after 2am today. 

At the scene, Police located one person with critical injuries, who was transported to hospital. Several other people had minor injuries. 

One person has been located deceased Police following a house fire in Henderson. 

Emergency services were called to Forest Hill Road about 8.40pm on Saturday 29 August. 

Sadly, we can confirm one person has died.

Acting Detective Senior Sergeant James Kim says a scene guard was put in place at the property overnight. 

“The cause of the fire remains unexplained at this early stage.”

Police will be carrying out a scene examination at the house today, including working with fire investigators.
