Police can now release the name of the woman who died following a serious incident in Nelson on Friday 4 September.
She was 48-year-old Nicola Yvonne Perry.
Police are providing wrap-around support to her loved ones at this difficult time.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident remain ongoing.

Police continue to make enquiries after the death of two people in a serious incident in Tāhunanui, Nelson, last week.
Our examination at the Parkers Road property has been completed. The scene has been blessed and handed back to the owners.
The post-mortem examinations have also been completed.
Police continue to gather information, which will be provided to the Coroner.
We also continue to provide support to the loved ones of those who died.
