Police have charged a 25-year-old man with murder after a fatal crash in Te Puke.
On Saturday 10 October, Police were called to a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Te Puke Highway and Rangiuru Road about 10.50am.
Sadly, despite best efforts by emergency services, one person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Serious Crash Unit conducted a scene examination following the incident.
adminPolice are working to locate Dan Blue Poutu, who has a warrant for his arrest and is actively avoiding Police.
The 20-year-old is wanted by Police for failing to appear in court and removing his electronically monitored bracelet.
He has links to south Auckland and is believed to be in the wider Auckland area.
Poutu is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

On Friday afternoon Police received a report of a man entering a liquor store in Henderson Valley Road, Henderson and allegedly taking three bottles of alcohol before leaving the store without paying.
About 15 minutes after receiving the report, Police sighted a vehicle matching the description provided and signalled for the vehicle to stop.
