An alleged bakery burglar’s plan failed to rise after he was caught in the act in Northcote yesterday.
Just gone 4pm, Waitematā Police received a report of burglary from a store on Pearn Crescent.
Inspector Aron McKeown, Waitematā East Area Commander says the alleged offender had been observed by the bakery’s owner, who was watching via CCTV.
“A Police unit was dispatched and arrived just minutes later.
“A constable approached the rear of the building and heard rustling behind an enclosed area.”
