A break in at a West Harbour dairy where loaves of bread and vapes were stolen has landed three people in court.

Just after 2am this morning Police received a report of a burglary at a dairy in Luckens Road.

Waitematā West Area Response Manager, Senior Sergeant Jon Winthrop, says the trio allegedly arrived at the premises in a Toyota, which at the time had not been reported stolen.

“The Police Eagle helicopter was able to quickly locate the vehicle and units successfully set up spikes on Widmore Drive.”

Police acknowledge the findings of the Independent Police Conduct Authority released today concerning the Police investigation into the death of Rachel Molloy in May 2022.

In October 2024, Ms Molloy’s mother complained to the IPCA regarding the Police investigation into her daughter’s death and how Police had treated Ms Molloy in an earlier incident from 2020.  

On 6 June 2020, Ms Molloy was the victim of a burglary. As a result, five people were located and charged with varying offences.
