Northland Police are appealing to the public for information following the theft of a significant sculpture in Whangārei.
At around 3.15am on 24 August, the sculpture Tiori Toru was removed from the grounds of the Hundertwasser Art Centre.
Senior Sergeant Charmaine Smith, Whangārei Area Response Manager, says the offender left the scene on a bike and the sculpture has not yet been located.
‘While enquiries are ongoing, we are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for the theft.
